I was really looking forward to having a more comfortable way of transporting my gear, given the fact that I cycle to the dojo.

Within the first hour of my using the bag, one of the plastic bits on the bag broke (throwing me off my bike whilst on a busy road).  The straps used with this bag is also too smooth, causing the straps to come loose quite a lot.  A lot of the stitching on the bag has also come undone, leaving me with a pretty much useless handbag.  Given these (and the fact that I had to ship this in), all of the stitching on the bag, the clasps has had to be replaced and end bits attached to the straps to prevent them from coming loose.

If I overloaded the bag, I might have be a bit more forgiving.  Through all this it has only contained my bogu, shinai fixing kit, a few bandages and spare tenugui (sometimes my gi as well).

Do not even contemplate buying this bag.  It's shoddy, low quality workmanship to say the least and won't hold up to the rigours of normal use.

I've only used it a few times so I haven't figured out how best to use all the pockets and clips - and there are a bunch.
The main compartment is roomy enough which can be a problem in most bags because the load shifts around when slinging it up or carrying on one shoulder. This bag however has side compression straps which keeps the load in place and as a result is comfortable to carry. The straps have quick release buckles and don't get in the way loading or unloading.
Overall a nice product.
