I just recieved this shinai. There are no problems with it. The tsuru has just the righte tightness on it. and everything is well secured. I also bought a shinai bag with it. It is also very nice. I know this shinai will last.

I've always been a bamboo fan, this is an average shinai. It is a VERY good quality for the price you pay.
Don't worry, you are getting the real deal--this shinai will not break after one use. It is also very light and the leather is very soft.
