I purchased this as my first shinai. It was an excellent choice, though I found that it lost its weight very quickly as I improved and I am now looking to upgrade to something with more weight behind it. It has held up, and it will certainly remain in my shinai bag even when I move up to a heavier one. Great choice for someone just starting out, who wants good quality at a respectable price.

I purchased this shinai as a recommendation of my dojo. This is an excellent beginner/ intermediate practice shinai. I was impressed by the quality of this shinai and eventually bought 2 more. It has held up very well in hard practices and after hundreds of men strikes. Great price for great quality.
