This was the first men that I bought and have been using it for three years. In that time, I have learned a lot more about bogu and bogu craftsmanship and consider this to be one of the best bargains that is available. The quality of the materials in this men often cost a lot more at other budogu, particularly when you purchase the entire Genten set since the kote are similarly awesome. I did not understand how nice this set was when I originally bought it, but my appreciation has grown while wearing it. I typically practice three or four times a week and during lockdown I used the men on a dummy that I built. The menbuchi has shown some normal wear and tear, but the stitching is still in perfect condition and I will easily get many more years out of this men. I would like to eventually try other bogu sets in the future but the Genten men and kote have definitely set an extremely high bar in terms of materials, durabilty, craftsmanship, and price.
