This bokuto is working out pretty well. Normally I get much more resilient woods for my daito bokken as it needs to take more punishment from contact.
This bokuto however doesn't need to be extraordinarily tough so the industry standard white oak works very well. It will take a moderate amount of punishment. It's fairly light and well balanced.
