The paint job and finish make gripping it a little slippery and the pain chips off. It's also on the lighter side compared to other bokuto, but i like the feel overall.

The finish is a bit on the glossy side and it comes off fairly easily. Also, there may be issues with gripping if you have damp hands with this particular bokuto due to the paint.
The balance is good, but the weight is on the light side. Compared to other bokuto that I have handled, this one was considerably lighter.

I was very impressed with this particular item. I have held many bokken and this one was one of the better ones.

This product is strong, I like the black, the tsuba fits very much well, it's not warped or bent at all, and the weight and balance are good (close to what a real katana feels like). The only downside is how long it took to be delivered, but I can't really complain since I did use ground service. Overall, I'm very happy with this buy. Also, the black finish does come off semi easily, but... it's used for training not collection.
