The first thing that struck me about this shinai is the craftsmanship. It looks plain perfect. When you hold it, not only is it very well balanced, with a little less weight at the tip than at the grip, it also feels very sturdy. The grip isn't grotesquely oversized and very good for people with larger hands. I have a feeling that this is going to be both my favourite and longest lasting shinai yet.

I have been using this shinai for a few weeks now, after deciding that my previous shinai did not weigh enough, and I am very pleased with the decision to purchase it. It's weight has really contributed to building up more strength during practice, and the balance really does make it feel more light than it actually is, and my Senpai even commented on this when he held it. It looks good as well. Great choice overall.

I fell in love with the balance of it, especially when the size is taken into account. This shinai looks..pretty big compare to the rest. For those looking for one shot one kill using Tobikomi-stike, this shinai is pretty good. I only wish the tip was just slightly thinner.
