Better stuff in Chinatown |

This jacket/pants set is OK, but it's hard to get enthusiastic about it. The quality control is not very good (it's kung fu clothes made in Pakistan!). The cotton knobs and loops serving as buttons and button holes are hard to put on and off - the clumpy cotton knobs are too big or the loops too small. The jackets I saw in Chinatown were easy to put on and off. The pants is a big of a laugher. The labels (size, "made in Pakistan", and washing instruction) are all on the OUTSIDE of the pants. I was told it's OK because the jacket is worn over it. The labels for the jacket are inside the jacket. The pants in Chinatown have their labels inside, like normal pants anywhere. Probably the factory in Pakistan made 10,000 of these pants with the labels on the wrong side, and they couldn't return them. Well, these problems aren't totally fatal , and it is cheap at $20. So if you don't live near Chinatown, and don't mind cutting off the labels from the outside of the pants, maybe it's a deal.

The kung fu suit is a little plain, simple, and monotone, but I find it very comfortable without movement restriction. The pants are marvelous, contrary to popular belief. An elastic isn't needed as they come with an effective fastening system.

The "Tai Chi" uniform seems to be a great deal. There are no elastic ankles on the pants ar elastic on the waist. These come with karate pants. The top is fine and made of good material.

This is a very good quality uniform for a very reasonable price. My students have ordered this and found it to look good year after year. It is not difficult to make a small hole in hem and waist and run a lace or elastic through.
