Due to many requests from our customers, we have created a Gokubuto (Japanese meaning of "Extra Thick") Shinai. BIZEN Shinai (e-bogu's own brand top quality Dobari style Shinai). It comes completely assembled with top quality leather set.

Just beautiful. I don't have very large hands and I still love it. It will become MY SHINAI. I tried many different shinais in the last 4 years, but THIS IS IT!

Shinai for large hands December 4, 2007

This shinai is great!  For someone with larger than average hands it feels so much more comfortable and easier to wield than a shinai with a standard sized tsuka.  After showing a few of my fellow (larger sized) training partners they are now also keen to get one.  It is also holding up very well.  I have already worn out two shinai so far this year, this one is looking like it will last much longer.  Delivery (half way around the world!) was also very fast, it arrived within 3 days of ordering.  Highly recommended.

This shinai is great for those who have larger hands or want a shinai that is just fun to use. The balance is more toward the handle as should be expected. my Do and Kote cuts were much more powerful with this shinai and doing one-handed suburi is a new exercise with this shinai due to it being a little heavier. Highly recommend giving it a try.
