5 of 5 I love this Bogu November 16, 2010

The short Men Dare was what I was looking for in a Bogu. I see a lot of Japanese players using the short Mendare, and after I used this Bogu, I realized how comfortable it is to have the Mendare shorter. Also, the light weight makes it my favorite Shiai and Practice Bogu. Great value for the price!

5 of 5 Great looking, functional August 28, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Melbourne, Victoria Australia
This is a very nice looking bogu set. The men fits perfectly on my head without the need for a pad. The tare- while it looks big originally, is actually smaller when it is put on. So when standing in shizentai and raising your shinai to a drawing position, it won't catch on the side flaps of the tare. The kote look a little big- however, there is no reduction in hand functionality (except for the to-be-expected new bogu stiffness).

There are a few minor faults though. With the shorter men flaps, it is slightly harder to pack up your bogu after training and if not placed carefully in your bogu bag it can come undone; becoming a messy heap in your bag when you remove it. While not my observation- one of my friends from my dojo commented that the sides of the dou looked a little too wide. Though this could be because of the wrong ordered size.

The bogu bag that comes with the set is also a great saving.
