"It took me a long time to come up with this Shinai. In the past I have created Shinais based on Shinais that I had and liked. However, TOSA is a totally new Shinai, which I created from nothing. I spent a lot of time because this Shinai was created working directly with the craftsman, after making many prototypes. The handle portion of the Shinai is medium thickness, with the right and the left hand about the same diameter. The TOSA BESSAKU is not a Dobari Shinai, nor a KOTO Shinai. Excellent Shinai October 9, 2010 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from hilo, HI United States   This was a bit expensive however this is the best shinai I have ever owned, in terms of balance and feel; it is very responsive.
