This provides an excellent protection for your forearm/wrist. Highly recommended for preventing painful bruises during kote strike keikos. This is truly my arm saver.

I can just tell which people are going to hit your kote hard, and when I first got into armor I was worried. I struggled for a couple of practices until I saw this so then I quickly ordered it. Soon enough the package showed up and I happily went on during practice. Painlessly went on during practice I sould say. This wrist protector saved me from a lot of pain! This is a great buy! Thank you EBogu!

BE A KENDO TOUGH GUY ~ WITH A SECRET WEAPON! |

Now, this is a fantastic product. Depending on who you practice with at your Kendo school and whether or not they use too much right hand in their kote strike, you should definetly get this product. Let them strike as hard as they want you won't feel a thing. If you sparr with Sensei he will be impressed that he hit you with all he had and you didn't even flinch and showed much Kendo spirit. Of course don't let anyone see you putting this pad in your Kote. This will give you that Kendo tough guy reputation you need without anyone knowing your secret weapon.

The pad is very tough. It won't stop a full strength bokken strike if you are "smart" enough to attempt to block one such blow, but it definately dampens most impacts.
I use it regularly for non-weapons defense. It's more than suitable for gurading againts ridgehands and roundhouses.
