Features
This JUKENDO Bogu set is a professional series, used by the Japanese Police Department as well as the Japanese Self Defense Forces.

JUKENDO Men (Head Guard)

Top Quality 3MM Machine Stitch Men, with Duraluminium Mengane.


It has a beautiful Clarino leather design though out the Mendare.


This Bogu has extra padding on the Top and the left side of the Men due to the nature of the combat. It can be seen on the picture below:


The Ago (Tsuki Dare) is also reinforced to withstand strong thrusts.




JUKENDO Do (Chest Guard)

The JULENDO Do was specially designed to withstand strong thrusts on the side of the Body. It has an extra protection on the left side of the body.



JUKENDO Kata (Shoulder Guard)

This is what makes Jukendo Bogu very unique from Kendo Bogus. The Jukendo Kata (Shoulder) protect the front shoulder, which is facing the opponent from strikes.


The outside is made of a hardened cow hide, painted with black lacquer.


The outer part that may also be in contact from the opponent is made of a soft padded leather for protection and easy movements.


The inside that is in contact with your Body has a soft lining to avoid friction with your Body.





JUKENDO Kote (Hand protector - Left hand only)

In Jukendo, you only wear the Kote on the left hand, which is the hand that is closer to the opponent.

It has an added padding on the wrist part, to protect from opponents strong strikes.


The Clarino protection is also larger on the wrist and arm portion, compared to a Kendo Kote.


The palm is made of Deer leather, for higher durability.


JUKENDO Tare (Lower abdomen a and leg protector)

The Tare is similar to Kendo Tare, but it has a leather toop on the right side.




The back side of the Tare is reinforced with a beautiful Green Kozakura design.

It has been 5+ years since I got mine and I am very satisfied. I practice twice a week and when I don't feel like repacking I also take it sometimes to kendo practices (so sometimes it has to go through 5+ practices a week) and it works great for both!  Just remember to get a right kote if you also want to practice kendo or tankendo.
Advantages:
- good quality
- can be used as a backup bogu for other budo
- great for nodo tsuki practice
- readily available
- quick shipment
Disadvantages:
- my kote's tenouchi has been very stiff since day one
