It is great for me! Being lighter than the mens shinai in weight at about 390 to 400 gr. it is very quick to maneuver and fast for keiko since I have a shoulder injury of two muscles that could not be repaired. This shinai has helped bringing back my keiko almost to normal.

I think that I may have gotten a bad piece of Bamboo,this Shinai cracked after one Keiko. That said, it felt good during the one Keiko I was able to use this Shinai.  Just remember to keep an eye on out for cracks and do the proper maintenance!
