Great bundle for beginner October 18, 2022 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from El Cajon, CA United States   The weight feels just right and really nice that it comes with a carrying bag. The bokken was not 100% straight, and the slightest bent to one side, but it doesn't affect practice and not noticeable whatsoever. White Oak Bokken and Plastic Saya March 7, 2022 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from NSW Australia   White oak bokuto is very well made. You can barely tell it’s even wood if you rub it without looking. But the saya pales in comparison, one hand alone is able to very slightly bend the plastic. Maybe polypropylene would make a good saya. Sageo is cheap and feels like it’s cut out of a ribbon roll. Tsuba is good, it’s plastic but very hardy. Habaki material is rubber and does not actually slide into the saya, but it clings onto the bokuto very well. Blade alignment is straight as a ruler and matches the saya perfectly. Bokuto is a little weighty, but that makes it perfect for practicing suburi or strengthening kata. Overall, the bokuto and bokuto accessories are perfect, but the saya seems like a cheap addition to such fine craftsmanship. Was this review helpful to you?
