Comfortable and Resilient Dogi March 13, 2021 Reviewer: Kai Hays from Tacoma, WA United States   This is the second Deluxe Single Layer Aikidogi I've purchased for (Japanese) jujutsu, and I plan to buy another when it comes time to replace it. It is sturdy, with thick lapels, and the mesh-patterned bottom half is as breathable as can be expected for the heavy fabric. The dogi is very soft and pleasant against the skin, unlike some stiff and starchy karate uniforms I've used in the past (on the other hand, it won't create an audible snap like karate uniforms, but that isn't what they are for). All-in-all, I'd highly recommend this dogi to anyone who practices a grappling art with intensity. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Aikidogi! February 7, 2021 Reviewer: IGSoto - Aikido from Katy, TX United States   This is by far the best uniform that you can acquire under $100, excellent craftsmanship and materials and the size is true to me, I am 6’-2” and 240 lb and I am wearing size 5. Well after two washing cycles always following recommendations for this kind of garment, shrinkage is minimal almost unnoticeable. Was this review helpful to you?

Aikido single layer gi July 6, 2019 Reviewer: Rosalie   I am a female 5’4” 180lbs. Went from using a plain canvas gi size 4 pant and 5 top (you know milk ducts get in the way and sleeves too long) to this single layer baby in a size 4. I bought the size 4 hoping it would shrink a bit and it did since it’s hard to find women’s gis. I am happy with the shrinkage even though it says prewashed pants length shrank 3’ and waist was consistent. Sleeves shrank 2” each on length. Top shrank 1.75”-2” in the waist area and 2” in length. I’m happy with the results however neck area hem is pretty stiff but I’m guessing Once I’ve broke it in it will get better. The young men at the store were very helpful. Thanks guys! Smaller than I expected January 10, 2019 Reviewer: Zachary Atlas from Tampa, FL United States   OK I'm 5'10" on a good day, 190 lbs, so I'm a bit rounder in the middle than I want to be, but I'd not go as far to say that I'm hefty by any means (just suffering from that middle age bulge?).  I have longer than usual arms and wider shoulders.  With that said, I measured my current Gi and asked around to my Sempai and fellow Kohai.  Guys my size or just a bit larger wear either a 4 or 5. Given the measurements I made and judging my size against those who work 5's ad those who wore 4's, I bought the size 4 figuring on some shrinkage.  Fit right out of the bag perfect, but again IT SHRINKS.  I tried on my friends 4 after it's been through about a years worth of training and washing (fortunately before class) and could barely get my arms in it.  Size up is no joke.  Lucky for me, my friend who wears a 4 needed a new one.  Went ahead and ordered a 5.
