5 of 5 Helps with hard strikes July 14, 2017
Reviewer: Gregory Moser from Tampa, FL United States
This has definitely helped with the new ones who tend to hit a bit harder than the you should be.  I use to get raffled by super hard men strikes now I don't get so raddled.

5 of 5 slim protection January 9, 2017
Reviewer: ES from Chicago, IL United States
My men already fits perfectly, so getting the thin sized worked best for me, it didn't add any bulk. Pro tip: the men pad has a stiff plastic visor which should be inserted into the uchiwa. The pad is attached flush on on side of the plastic, a bump of padding on the other side. Insert the men pad into the uchiwa so the flush side is facing up to the sky and the bump side of the pad faces down (to the floor) lining up with the uchiwa.

5 of 5 Men space filler ! June 22, 2015
Reviewer: Rick Zondlo from Mohrsville, PA United States
I was well pleased with the men pads, I put two of the thin pads in, one on each side split at the top. They worked well to take up space on the sides and top to pull the chin in tighter! An extra bonus was a better softer ear cushion when pulling the Men Himo tight pulling in the Mendare!

a little thick so it takes some breaking in.  My men was really tight the first few times but it seems to be settling in just right.  I do notice it helps a bit against heavy men hits.

The men pad is one of the best things you can have for kendo, especially if training with beginners who dont know how to snap the shinai. It really does protect against injury, and is a much have for all bogu.

5 of 5 Excellent buy September 9, 2010
Reviewer: Charles Johnson from Odenton, MD United States
In my dojo, we have a 'lumberjack' who hits you in the men HARD, even when he uses tenuchi.  With this in my men, I didn't feel a thing!  No more 'white out' in my vision, no more dizziness!  This will make your men feel more snug than usual, but still wearable.

5 of 5 BE A KENDO TOUGH GUY ~ WITH A SECRET WEAPON. April 27, 2006
Reviewer: H. Flores from NYC, NY United States
Now, this is a fantastic product.   Depending on who you practice with at your Kendo school and whether or not they use too much right hand in their menuchi, you should definetly get this product.  Let them strike as hard as they want you won't feel a thing.  If you sparr with Sensei he will be impressed that he hit you with all he had and you didn't even flinch and showed much Kendo spirit.  Of course don't let anyone see you putting this pad in your Men.  This will give you that Kendo tough guy reputation you need without anyone knowing your secret weapon.
