One of a kind Do. Kiji means Raw base. All bamboo Do are made of Bamboo pieces and a leather piece covers the Bamboo pieces for reinforcement. Usually, the leather cover is painted with Urushi (Laqueur) to result in a shiny black Do. This Do is treated with clear lacquer for long durability.

I ordered this for my husband who has practiced Kendo for 10 years. Brandon was extremely helpful in making sure the measurements were right. Once we knew what was in stock, I ordered.  The Do arrived in one day.  It was a pleasant surprise. My husband loves his new Do.
