5 of 5 Good protection May 18, 2009

Our dojo is not really suited for kendo, because it has a hard concrete floor. After I put my foot down to hard, I injured my heel and couldn't train for some time. So I ordered tis protector. After a while I started training again and had the exact same thing happening. But the protector took most of the impact. It still hurt a little but I could train on like nothing happened.
I'd really recommend this for people who aren't training at dojo's with a wooden floor.
Worth every penny!

4 of 5 Excellent! August 3, 2006

Aloha ALL,

I went back to Kendo after an 8 year lay-off due to my job. After my first day of training, did I feel it...especially in my right heel. I ordered this heel protector and when my next day of keiko came, I performed shiai like the "good ol' days"!
Also, I noticed that not only did this protector help my heel, it allowed for some very stealthy ashi sabaki!
Only "bad thing" , and this may be premature after only one keiko, but it was very tight. I am sure it will "break in" after more use, but If you order this one and want to be on the safe side, go a larger size for sure.
God bless, and mahalo e-bogu!
