Perfect for Junior Aikidoka June 11, 2011 Reviewer: Mike from Albany, OR   I bought 3 of these for some of my junior Aikidoka (10 - 13 years old), and they are the perfect weight for them. Far better than the red oak or hickory bokken you see advertised elsewhere. I have practiced with them using my Iwama style bokken and they stand up well (granted I am careful). I enjoy cutting with them myself, because it is so effortless and fluid. A really great deal. Was this review helpful to you?

Perfect size for practice August 15, 2009 Reviewer: Chris Evans from Kirkland, WA United States   Shorter at 35.75" than the full length 40" bokken, this was the right size for the KumDo studio - with a height limitation the shorter bokken is well suited. First time and experienced students find this length bokken to be just right for practice swings (hurigi), movement and basic skills before moving to the jukdo (shinai). Thanks e-bogu!
