Highly Recommended April 27, 2006 Reviewer: Jose Hurtado from Valrico, FL United States   The pad is very tough. It won't stop a full strength bokken strike if you are "smart" enough to attempt to block one such blow, but it definately dampens most impacts. I use it regularly for non-weapons defense. BE A KENDO TOUGH GUY ~ WITH A SECRET WEAPON! April 27, 2006 Reviewer: H. Flores from NYC, NY United States   Now, this is a fantastic product.   Depending on who you practice with at your Kendo school and whether or not they use too much right hand in their kote strike, you should definetly get this product.  Let them strike as hard as they want you won't feel a thing.  If you sparr with Sensei he will be impressed that he hit you with all he had and you didn't even flinch and showed much Kendo spirit.  Of course don't let anyone see you putting this pad in your Kote.  This will give you that Kendo tough guy reputation you need without anyone knowing your secret weapon. So thankful! April 27, 2006 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   I can just tell which people are going to hit your kote hard, and when I first got into armor I was worried. I struggled for  a couple of practices until I saw this so then I quickly ordered it. Soon enough the package showed up and I happily went on during practice.
