Cheap but high quality January 25, 2016 Reviewer: Erdem K. from Ankara, Turkey   I am new in Kendo. I bought a bokken for the first time. The product has no flaw. I'm glad I bought it. However, the optional saya is made of light weight plastic. It doesn't fit the feel of the bokken. I also purchased the optional bag. The bag is very good in quality, but too short and narrow to insert an extra shinai. When I put the bokken+saya in the bag, I can't pull it out in one piece; the saya gets off when I pull the handle of the bokken. I recommend the bokken, but not the saya. I bought 3 this time. January 17, 2016 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from LOS BANOS, CA United States   As our school's students move up, they are exposed to boken techniques and presented with the best possible boken. For their price, i find the balance on these boken to be superior to other training boken available . I have tested each and would use them myself, if not for presentatio to others. If i don't like it, i would not give it. I did take the time to sand the varnish off mine and found a beautiful piece of wood beneath. Was this review helpful to you?

Surprised me November 7, 2014 Reviewer: Emanuel from College Station, TX   this bokken is excellent, upon first inspection it seemed a little thin and flimsy, but after I held it I was sold. An Excellent Bokken June 18, 2010 Reviewer: Jasmine Jabel from UT United States   This is my first e-bogu purchase.  This bokken not only looks good, but it serves its purpose well.  Somewhat lighter than other bokken, it swings easily and quickly.  It may be a little hard to grip the hilt with sweaty or moist hands since it can get a little slippery.  Overall though, this bokken is a great investment if you're looking for a cheaper but still high-quality bokken to use for kendo/kenjutsu kata training and/or light sparring practice.  The bokken arrived quickly (I ordered it on one night and it arrived two days later) and in perfect condition.  E-bogu has great service, and I will definitely look to it for all of my future martial arts needs. nice overall May 29, 2007 Reviewer: Tyler Dunham from Six lakes, MI United States   The paint job and finish make gripping it a little slippery and the pain chips off.  It's also on the lighter side compared to other bokuto, but i like the feel overall. Was this review helpful to you?
