Extra Pure KURIMI (Walnut) Oil, specially made for Shinais. Before start using the Shinai it is recommended to take care of the Shinai by applying Extra Pure KURUMI Oil in the Bamboo pieces of the Shinai. As the Shinai dries up, apply the oil as needed.

Approximate volume: 50 ml

Directions:
1) Apply a few drops on a paper towel of dry cloth.
2) Gently apply to the surface of the bamboo. Apply on the inner side of the bamboo for faster absorption.
3) Wipe off excess oil by using a dry cloth or paper towel.
4) Let is sit for a few hours for the oil to settle in the bamboo
5) Apply as needed

Some people use salad oil on the Shinais, but that makes the Shinai too oily and sticky, and it can cause damage to the opponent's Bogu.
