This kendogi was not what I expected based on the reviews I read. I ordered a 4, which is my usual size, and figured it would be okay given many said it ran large. It was actually a snug fit and the outer tie was in an odd place, leading to a crumpled front when tied. The dogi itself is light but this is due to a kind of "ribbed" design that alternates thicker and thinner areas. The result is a very stiff and uncomfortable dogi. I imagine it would soften up with wear, but who wants to wear a dogi that feels like sectioned cardboard enough to soften it up over time?
