Purchased this item separately from my bokken and was worried about the fit. No problem at all with or without using a tsuba/gumi. Plenty of length in saya to use without tsuba/gumi.
I also tried a couple of different bokken that have slight width variations. All held well at the koiguchi for practice. If you do not have one for your boken I would recommend this item.

Lightweight but practical enough	April 8, 2024

This plastic saya is much lighter than the saya one would would expect from an iaito, but that is usually the case for bokken saya. With that being said, it's practical enough to allow students a cheaper and more accessible way to start training iai. The price to functionality ratio makes this a great buy, in my opinion.
