3 of 5 Slightly disappointing, not Ariga quality February 17, 2022
Reviewer: Alex K. from Los Angeles, CA
I was looking forward to receiving this shinai, but the quality was not what I expected. The knots were excessively uneven when cut/bound. This creates creaking, even during suburi. Silver paint from the “土佐“ name was spread on the side bamboo. Looks like this shinai was used for manufacturing practice. For $5 more, get the beautifully crafted Ariga bessaku.

4 of 5 Tokusen Madake Shinai May 2, 2016
Reviewer: Alexander Witzaney from Melfort, SK Canada
I am very pleased with the construction of this Shinai.  There was a promotional deal of getting a second Shinai.  I was very happy with this except I did not receive a Tsuba for the second Shinai. (I thought that it would be included)
