A Pleasant Surprise |

I've long been a fan of e-bogu, feeling that for the money they've always been decent and the customer service has always been top notch. However, one area I'd always been hesitant to give them good marks was in their bokuto. A decade ago I'd ordered this very set, but when it arrived the quality was somewhat lacking.
Cut to earlier this year and I was fortunate enough to actually begin training in Niten Ichi Ryu. However, I discovered to my dismay that in recent years the geometry had changed slightly and I had a great deal of difficulty finding a source that still had the geometry I was used to. After a while I figured I'd give e-bogu a try again, figuring "what the hey, it's been 10 years."
Well I'm glad I did. They arrived today and I'm floored at the difference between what I've received and what I got 10 years ago. The craftsmanship has come miles since then, the balance is very good, and the grain much tighter. Excellent job all around!
